Prom photo ordering

Well next week is the big event of the spring at Slippery Rock and Moniteau High School, Prom. I just wanted to make sure as many people as possible are in the loop since ordering pictures will be different than in years past.

As I posted about before all photo ordering for Prom pictures, Grand March, Crowning, Formal photos, and dance candids will all be done online. So here are some details (they are all #1 for a reason)

1) There is no charge to get your photo taken.

1) There will be no order forms, but there will be cards with ordering information. You will not receive a photo unless you order off the website.

1) Photos and packages that are ordered will ship to the address that you enter when you check out.

1) If there is a .001% chance that you or your dates parents will want to order photos, get a picture taken.

1) Feel free to get photos with friends, siblings, team mates, or anyone else that is in attendance.

1) Get your photo with your date taken BEFORE you go out and tear up the dance floor. You want to look your best before your start teaching anyone to Dougie.

1) Have fun and enjoy the night, but please be careful on the way home.

That is pretty much it. If you have any questions or requests feel free to ask and we will see what we can do.

Back from Chicago and the road ahead…

Well I am back on eastern standard time after spending a few days in Chicago covering the Great Lakes Competition Company cheer event at the Schamberg Convention Center. It was a long two days of shooting (300 teams totaling almost 10,000 competitors) but it was fun to shoot another event. I had the chance to eat at an amazing place Thursday night. If you are ever in Chicago I highly recommend a visit to Piece. It was amazing, the house beers were really good and the pizza was out of this word.

So now that I am back here is the road map ahead. Winter sports are winding down and I am getting to as many games as I can. I have called in the reserves to help me get stuff covered. The images will be on the same site as always. I am starting to get spring sports stuff squared away and am looking forward to being outside again. Proms are on the radar too. As I mentioned before there is no longer going to be any order forms. All images will be posted online for ordering as well as the grand march and candid photos.

Also I will be working on getting the studio opened up, shooting at Slippery Rock University, getting ready for a rocking senior season, and probably getting a little sleep in there somewhere. Let the fun begin.

New Beginnings…

So 2012 is in the rear view mirror and the days of 2013 are already starting to get longer. I have been spending the past 6-8 weeks working on a few things and it is time to share what is coming. I am very excited about what is coming and look forward to not only this year, and the years to follow. So here we go:

From My Street to Main Street:

As many of you know I have been working out of a home office since October 2009. Needless to say, I am out of room. Aubrie and I have been carefully planning this move for some time and until December we hadn’t found the “right” space. We knew that we wanted to have a location that would make our clients feel welcome and have a feeling of being at home. After looking at a number of spaces we have settled on one.

We considered adding onto our home but felt that wouldn’t be the right “fit”. We considered building a room over our garage, but decided that wouldn’t work if we had families that included grandparents. So in the coming weeks we will be preparing to open a retail location in Slippery Rock where the former Slippery Rock Specialty Florist was located. This space will give us room to grow as well as have a studio space for shooting families and holiday events like I have wanted to but couldn’t. There is a little bit of sprucing up that needs to be done so keep your eyes open for the Grand Opening that we will be planning.

It is worth mentioning that there will be a new phone number coming too… details to come.

Senior Rep Program:

So this is something that I have wanted to do for some time, but just didn’t have a chance to do it effectively. So with the new location coming I am looking for members of the Class of 2014 to be spokes models/ Senior Reps for the studio. I am looking for fun, energetic, and personable upcoming seniors that would like to represent the studio. The final details are being worked out as of this writing, but if you are interested head over to the website and send us your information under the contact tab and I will send out an info packet with an application. I am planning on selecting Senior Reps in March and shooting the rep sessions in April.

This year’s senior photography is getting a little refresh too. I have been scouting some new locations and adjusting the offers a little. It is probably worth mentioning that there will be a big special if you get your senior portraits taken in June. *wink~wink*

I am going to REALLY try to post more often (hence the new blog) until next time take care of yourselves and each other.
